Sweet Sour Cherry

(John McGie/Jon Lundquist)

SWEET SOUR CHERRY

Put me out to pasture
Cause I has ta
Pick from my favorite tree
Her flower’s in bloom
And I got to eat soon
From that cherry tree
You might like a peach
All fuzzy and sweet
Each bite a juicy delight
But there’s nothing better
Than when my tongue all wet
Tastes sweet cherry tonight

Pick a pluckin’
Of a little loving
Hanging from a tree
Sweet sour cherry
Done taste so good
To me
Adam might have dabbled
With a little apple
But that’s no good for me
Sweet Sour Cherry
Is what I like to eat

Sweet Sour Cherry
Pie ‘s what I like
With lots of whipping cream
With every bite
I like to lick my fingers
Eat a whole pie to myself
Sweet Sour Cherry
There ain’t nothing else
All the other fruits
You keep to yourself
Sweet sour Cherry
Is what I like like like –
